The Story Behind the Mission...
Drawing has always been an important part of my life. For many years I dreamed of making a living doing something I love. In 1989, I began producing stationery note cards from pencil illustrations and selling them to family, neighbors, friends, co-workers and local gift shops. My tiny business grew as I received numerous calls for drawings of houses, children, pets and business logos. Before long, my attempts to fill so many requests became impossible! I was unable to meet the demands of business as I worked full-time, raised three children and completed a degree in Fine Arts. I had to reluctantly table my artwork. But, I knew one day I would return to my life ambition and dream. That was many years ago. With my children grown, and my college days behind me, I am now more determined than ever to reach that dream, but with a more worthwhile focus!
It is no secret that 21st century Americans openly admit being in some state of dysfunction at some point in life. Everybody knows somebody in therapy. Boomers as well as Gen X’ers represent high stress, high income and a high incidence of delayed onset Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to abuse suffered in childhood. An estimated 25% of the population has PTSD. Nearly EIGHT million children are abused every year. If these disorders were classified as physical diseases like measles, the USA would have to declare an EPIDEMIC. U.S. Department of Justice statistics simply do not lie! Seminars, workshops, weekend retreats, self-help books, CD’s, and DVD’s attempt to "therapize" the citizens of the most powerful nation in the world. We are indeed a country sorely in need of answers, hope, and the determination to grow in the midst of any difficulty!

The all-occasion greetings are simple but inspiring personal messages suitable for any issue, emotion, function and dysfunction. Birthdays, holidays and life continue in spite of abuse.
Years of hard work yielded the ability to laugh at ourselves regardless of setbacks. As recovering "dysfunctionals", we know we are worth the effort and you and yours are worth it too.
